Sungta Sukke (Prawns Curry) Very Famous Konkani dish in coastal belt , One of my ayi’s recipes which is simple and tasty.
Ingredients:
- 250 gm Cleaned Prawns
 
- Dry Red Chillies - 8
- Onion - 2 Big finely chopped
- Black Pepper - 4 to 5
- Cloves - 4
- Grated Coconut - 1 big bowl
- Coriander seeds - 2 table spoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tea spoon
- Tamrind - 2 small pieces
- Salt as per taste
- Oil
Method:
- Roast Coriander Seeds in little bit of oil in a pan until it's color changes and put it in a different vessle/plate
- Roast Red chillies in the same pan for half a minute and keep side in the same vessle/plate
- Grind these two mixtures with grated coconut, turmeric powder, tamarind and some water
- Heat Oil in a pan, fry chopped onions till they become light brown in color

- Now add cleaned 250 gm prawns and mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes until the prawns cooks about 75%

- Add the coconut masala in the pan, add salt as per taste and mix well and cook again until the mixture becomes little dry and prawns gets cooked properly
- Serve hot with rice or chapaties :)
