Sungta Sukke (Prawns Curry)
Very Famous Konkani dish in coastal belt ,  One of my ayi’s recipes which is simple and tasty.

Ingredients:

  1. 250 gm Cleaned Prawns



  2. Dry Red Chillies - 8
  3. Onion - 2 Big finely chopped
  4. Black Pepper - 4 to 5
  5. Cloves - 4
  6. Grated Coconut - 1 big bowl
  7. Coriander seeds - 2 table spoon
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tea spoon
  9. Tamrind - 2 small pieces
  10. Salt as per taste
  11. Oil


Method:

  1. Roast Coriander Seeds in little bit of oil in a pan until it's color changes and put it in a different vessle/plate
  2. Roast Red chillies in the same pan for half a minute and keep side in the same vessle/plate
  3. Grind these two mixtures with grated coconut, turmeric powder, tamarind and some water
  4. Heat Oil in a pan, fry chopped onions till they become light brown in color



  5. Now add cleaned 250 gm prawns and mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes until the prawns cooks about 75%



  6. Add the coconut masala in the pan, add salt as per taste and mix well and cook again until the mixture becomes little dry and prawns gets cooked properly
  7. Serve hot with rice or chapaties :)
