Kela Phodi
is very tasty and easy to prepare side dish which is very popular and common in konkani community,  One of my ayi’s recipes which is simple and tasty.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 Big size Raw banana
  2. 1/2 Cup Rava (sooji)
  3. Red Chilli powder 2 table spoon
  4. Oil to fry
  5. Salt as per taste


Method:

  1. Peal and Slice raw banana into pieces
  2. Mix these banana slice with red chilli powder and salt as per taste
  3. Heat a pan, apply some oil all over the pan. Now dip the banana slice in Rava (sooji) and put it on the hot pan
  4. Do this for all the slices and put some oil on top of all the slices on the pan and close the lid for the bananas to cook properly
  5. Once it is cooked from one side, invert them on other side and put some oil again if required
  6. Keep checking every 5 to 10 min if the bananas have cooked properly or not from both sides. Serve them hot with rice and dal or toi
